Brazilian system credit cooperative and cooperative identity: the need for permanent surveillance cooperative values for sustainable model

  
Abstract

The cooperative credit system is a tool for providing financial services to members and third parties. The establishment of a cooperative society in Brazil, independent of integration in their statutes under cooperative values and principles, follow the rules set by the Central Bank, and the National Financial System, making possible breach of the principle of free membership and voluntary. The sustainability of the credit system is subrogated to the permanent monitoring of the cooperative identity, through the prevalence of its values and principles.
