Surgical treatment of painful florid osseous dysplasia of the mandible: a case report

Abstract

A case is presented of a patient with painful bilateral mandibular florid osseous dysplasia without infection. The patient was edentulous. Surgical removal of the lesion led to total pain relief. To avoid long-term drug abuse, surgical treatment might be an option to treat painful florid osseous dysplasia in selected cases especially in edentulous areas.

Surgical treatment of painful florid osseous dysplasia of the mandible: a case report
