Wheat cultivation under late sown conditions

Abstract

Wheat is premier cereal crop of Punjab. It is generally consumed as chapatti. About 90% area is timely sown under Punjab conditions but due to some crop rotations like maize/rice/ groundnut-potato-wheat, basmati rice-wheat, ratoon sugarcane-wheat andrice/maize-vegetable peas-wheat, this crop may generally get late. Therefore, to get higher grain yield from late sown wheat following recommendations should be properly followed.
