Phylogenetic Analysis of One Finger (DOF) Transcription Factor Genes in Solanum tuberosum L. & Lycopersicum esculentum L.

Abstract

The Dof (DNA binding with One Finger) family is one of the typical example of Zinc-finger transcription factors which regulates different biological processes through transcriptional control of particular genes in plants. An attempt has been made to study an exensive homology searches for Dof like genes in Solanum tuberosum & Lycopersicum esculentum. Phylogenetic classification of S. tuberosum Dof & Lesculentum proteins revealed its existence in main three groups constituting six clusters.
