Introduction: Wang Junzhi (September 30, 1955 - ) is an expert in biological products and bio-pharmacy. Born in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, he was admitted to Lanzhou Medical College in 1977 and received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees of medicine. In 1993, he received his doctoral degree of medicine from Mie University in Japan. He is currently the chairman of the Academic Committee of the National Institutes for Food and Drug Control and the chief expert in biological product testing. He is also the director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Standardization and Evaluation of Biologicals, member of the WHO Biologicals Standardization Expert Committee, and chairman of the Biotechnology Expert Committee of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission.
