Introduction: Prof. Junyu Dong received his BSc and MSc from the Department of Applied Mathematics at Ocean University of China in 1993 and 1999 respectively. From 2000 to 2003, he studied in the Department of Computer Science at Heriot-Watt University in the UK, and received his PhD in Image Processing in November 2003. Prof. Dong joined Ocean University of China in 2004. He is currently a professor and the head of the Department of Computer Science and Technology. His research interests include computer vision, underwater image processing and machine learning, with more than 10 research projects supported by NSFC, MOST and other funding agencies. He has published more than 100 journal and conference papers.
