Pogue's Basics: How to retrieve every tweet you've ever made
You probably think of Twitter as fleeting, transient.
You issue a beautiful tweet, it falls into the river of billions of tweets, never to be seen again.
The thing is, behind the scenes, Uncle Twitter’s servers are actually remembering every tweet you have ever sent. Now, for the first time, Twitter has made them all available to you in a handy list.
Check this out.
In settings, on the website, on the account page, click the button that says, “request your archive.” It will email you a link to download a zip file that you can store forever for yourself.
And there it is, every tweet you’ve ever made since the day you joined Twitter. Laugh at your younger self, enjoy how you’ve evolved online, settle arguments.
Thank you, Uncle Twitter.
