Epic Games Store introduced a rewards program this week that sees customers earn 5% back on eligible purchases.

It's called Epic Rewards(Opens in a new window) and is free to use by anyone with an Epic Games account. Simply purchase games, apps, add-ons, or virtual currency through the store, and if the purchase is eligible, you'll get 5% of the value back in Rewards 14 days after the purchase was completed. They can also be earned for each recurring payment from an active subscription.

Rewards expire 25 months from the date they were earned, but they can be accrued over time to offer a bigger discount on a future purchase. Epic says they can also be combined with other discounts and coupons available in the store to reduce the cost of a purchase even further.

Epic timed the unveiling of its new rewards program to coincide with the Epic Games Store Mega Sale(Opens in a new window), which runs between May 18 and June 15. Gamers can save up to 75% on select titles, but an additional 25% discount is available through a single-use Epic Coupon on purchases that total at least $14.99 after discounts are applied.
