Russian server market lifts 28% in Q1 - study

About 30,767 servers were shipped to Russia in the first quarter, a jump of 27.6 percent year-on-year, according to IDC's EMEA Quarterly Server Tracker.  The equipment totaled USD 231.16 million, up by 34.9 percent. 

The shipping of x86 servers made up 99.7 percent of all shipped units, and 92.6 percent of supplies by value. Hewlett Packard Enterprise was the top supplier of x86 servers, followed by Lenovo and Dell Technologies. 

Growth was boosted by the corporate segment continuing its investment into infrastructure.
