Strong Storms Monday from New England to the Carolinas

13 Jul 2020, 8:00 am

A system moving towards the Atlantic coast today will bring some isolated severe storms chances to the New England region to the Mid-Atlantic.  The severe risk will be isolated in Nature with damaging winds as the primary weather threat. Here is the very latest on today’s severe risk.

Severe Outlook

Cities like Boston, Norfolk and Raleigh are all included in the risk of severe storms this afternoon and evening. Again, the storms will be isolated, so not everyone will experience the severe risks.

Severe Risks

Wind will be the main weather risk with today’s storms. This means winds over 58 mph will be possible. The hail and tornado threat will be very low with today’s activity.

Forecast

Here is the latest forecast with today’s stormy weather.  Most of these storms will be driven by the heating of the day, so once the sun goes down the severe risk will diminish as well.  Stay tuned to WeatheNation for more updates on today’s severe weather chances.
