Rolls-Royce is supplying Bibloc pressure transmitters for Zhangzhou 1&2 in ChinaRolls-Royce has been awarded a multi-million euros contract by China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) to provide Bibloc® pressure transmitters for Zhangzhou1&2, two new Hualong One reactors under construction in China.

As part of the contracts, Rolls-Royce will supply more than 200 Bibloc® safety classified pressure transmitters (Severe Accident, K1, K2, K3 SA) and the associated accessories such as cables, connections and electronics.

Bibloc® safety nuclear pressure transmitters, which are qualified for 60 years of operation, are used for "precise and reliable pressure, flow and level measurements in nuclear severe accident environments," Rolls-Royce said.

The transmitters are designed and manufactured by Rolls-Royce I&C teams in Grenoble, France.

“For more than 25 years, we have been collaborating with CNNC in China. We are delighted to have signed these new contracts, which is strong evidence of the confidence that CNNC continues to place in our I&C technologies and in our people, for the future of their fleet,” said Stéphane Lessi, Rolls-Royce Civil Nuclear France, Business Unit Director.

The lastest installation at Zhangzhou 1&2 means Bibloc® pressure transmitters will be in place on 36 nuclear reactors in China, Rolls-Royce said.

Rolls-Royce announced earlier in September that it will be supplying the Neutron Flux Monitoring System for the two new Hualong One reactors at Zhangzhou.
