Generation Mining has completed the second phase of metallurgical testing and pilot plant trials for its Marathon palladium-copper project in northwestern Ontario, 30 km from the Hemlo gold camp. The results, which will inform a feasibility study for Marathon expected in the first quarter, include updated metal recoveries and concentrate grade forecasts.
The latest test program generated a copper-PGM (platinum group metals) concentrate from three bulk sample composites. The most recent metal recovery projections stand at 92.5% to 94.7% for copper, 86.9% to 90.2% for palladium, 63.5% to 69.7% for platinum and 67.7% to 86.9% for gold.
