General thunderstorms will be the main story for these areas today. We should be able to hold off on any severe storms, but some of the storms today could have some strength with gusty winds and small hail.

The latest forecast is showing it staying active today and tonight. Most of the heavy rain will fall apart this afternoon and should clear out by the evening.

With the storms over the coast, dangerous water hazards will be possible. Small craft advisories are in place along the Pacific Coast for the rest of today.
