Staying Active Monday for the Northern and Central Rockies

26 Apr 2021, 3:00 am

An upper-level trough will keep moving through the Rockies today and produce some scattered t’storms.  The severe risk will remain low, but some heavy storms can’t be ruled out.  Here is the very latest forecast.

Severe Outlook

General thunderstorms will be the main story for these areas today. We should be able to hold off on any severe storms, but some of the storms today could have some strength with gusty winds and small hail.  This trough will be moving into the Central U.S. by Tuesday and will take with it all the active weather.

Forecast

The latest forecast is showing it staying active today and tonight. Some showers and isolated storms could last into very early Tuesday morning before moving out into the Central Plains.

Keep checking with WeatherNation for more updates on today’s active pattern in the Northwest.
