Apply Carbon France expands French production

Apply Carbon, a Procotex Corporation company, has expanded its a new carbon fiber facility in Plouay, France.
The 15,600 m² facility has an extra 90,000 m² of expansion potential and will incorporate machinery and stock from ELG UK, which recently sold its short fiber business to the company.
‘Within a very short timeframe, expansion of the Plouay site has created a tremendous economic growth and opportunities for Apply Carbon,’ said Bruno Douchy, sales director at Procotex.
‘Now a full range of pyrolyzed and non-pyrolyzed, sized, cut, milled and granulated recycled fibers will be available,’ added Hervé Cayuela, CEO of Apply Carbon.
Apply Carbon makes sustainable carbon fibers, para-aramid fibers and other technical fibers such as quartz for compounding, gasket, friction, 3D printing, non-woven and thermoset applications.
