After showing minor gains yesterday, the crypto markets are once again flashing red. Bitcoin’s price is holding onto the $10,600 support while most of the top twenty cryptocurrencies are showing red candlesticks.

Bitcoin price holds on to support

The Bitcoin (BTC) price has not shown much movement during the past 24 hours yet is up by 0.30% and trading at $10,615.93 at the time of writing. Yesterday saw the OG cryptocurrency trade around $10,500 for most of the day. Several analysts have suggested that the current climate of the markets is ideal for further gains on BTC’s price. PlanB, one such Twitter crypto analyst stated that the current conditions could be translated into the start of a new bull market. He stated:

“#bitcoin: clear for takeoff.”

Altcoin markets in the red once again

After a short-lived rally for several of the top ten cryptocurrencies, it seems that Bitcoin’s modest performance has resulted in losses for many altcoins. Ethereum (ETH), the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap is down by 1.77% and trading at $175.95 as per data from CoinMarketCap.

XRP, Ripple’s native token continues on a path of flat steady trading recording a modest loss of 0.43% on the day and trading hands at $0.259225. Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is down by 1% and selling for $296.13 while Litecoin is recording a similar loss at 1.03% and trading at $67.26 and Binance Coin (BNB) is down by 0.62% and trading at $21.97 per token. EOS is down by a humble 0.61% and trading at $3.33 per coin and Bitcoin Satoshi’s Vision (BSV) is also down by 1.40% and exchanging hands at $132.10.
