People with disabilities are among the hardest hit by COVID-19. Limited access to public health information, significant barriers to implementing basic hygiene measures, and inaccessible health facilities are amongst of the issues that are contributing to inequalities and may cause new threats.
UNESCO and Indonesian Association of Women with Disabilities (HWDI) developed a set of tools to promote Disability-Inclusive COVID-19 Response, based on International Disability Alliance (IDA) Recommendations. These tools are expected to assist policy makers to address the range of risks people with disabilities face.
