The Science and Technology Innovation Conference 2025, jointly hosted by the China Media Group (CMG) and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, convened in Shanghai on Wednesday under the theme "Pioneering Sci-Tech Innovation, Inspiring a New Era of Intelligence."

The conference served as a vital platform for experts and industry leaders to discuss how technology can empower industrial upgrading.

The event highlighted CMG's pivotal role in advancing technology. Shen Haixiong, president of CMG, emphasized the organization's mission: "CMG acts as a recorder, communicator, practitioner and promoter of technological innovation in the New Era." He noted that CMG leverages technology to empower communication, showcase Chinese modernization and foster the development of new quality productive forces.

Shen concluded by expressing CMG's readiness to collaborate and jointly advance the "AI+" initiative to build a strong technological nation.

Significant results were achieved at the conference. CMG premiered the nation's first full-process AI-based animated film, "The Reunion Journey." The film utilizes CMG's large model for media content to promote the concept of reunion and cultural affinity.

In addition, Shen and Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng jointly activated an international cooperation platform for Shanghai's "AI+ " project. CMG also launched a co-construction project with the Shanghai Foundation Model Innovation Center to create an innovation testing ground for AIGC media applications.

Further announcements included the release of the white paper for sci-tech innovation of the year 2025 together with a ranking list of the top 50 enterprises in this market.
