A two-day 2025 World Conference on the VR Industry concluded on Monday in Nanchang, east China's Jiangxi Province, which featured immersive experiences, in-depth discussions, and business partnerships.
The conference saw the signing of 14 projects valued at a total of 3.87 billion yuan (about $530 million), covering cutting-edge fields like AR smart glasses and new display hardware.
The accompanying expo covered over 20,000 square meters and showcased more than a hundred companies and industry organizations. Visitors experienced hundreds of VR, AR, and XR solutions, AI glasses, and even humanoid robots.

Nanchang: A VR powerhouse in the making
Since hosting the inaugural conference seven years ago, Nanchang and Jiangxi Province have continually fostered the industry. The region has attracted top enterprises and built a strong industrial ecosystem, now encompassing hardware manufacturing, content development, and diverse application scenarios.

This long-term commitment is resulting in impressive numbers. In 2024, Jiangxi Province's VR and related industries generated more than 110 billion yuan (over $15 billion) in operating revenue.
