“2017 Life-Long Learning and Modern Education Service Summit” Hosted in Xi’an

On November 23rd, with the theme of “Transition-docking of global perspectives and ‘innovation of China’”, the China Association of Higher Education jointly with International Knowledge Center for Engineering Sciences and Technology under the Auspices of UNESCO (IKCEST), and Xi’an Jiaotong University hosted the “2017 Life-long Learning and Modern Education Service Summit” at the Xi’an Green–land Pico International Convention Exhibition Center in Xi’an China.

Song Dexiong mentioned that by aiming at the talent demand of "the Belt and Road" countries and regions, through the Silk Road Training Base and other practices, IKCEST jointly with Xi’an Jiaotong University has trained more than 1,000 foreign students and export-oriented staff from 80 countries in the fields of big data, medicine, Internet of things and aerospace. With the help of information technology, it explored a development path oriented to "the Belt and Road" initiative, which has greatly enhanced the capabilities, efficiency and quality of modern education service in the era of "Internet +". He hoped that it can help cultivate professionally qualified innovative diplomats with global vision for Five-Connectivity and the spirit of silk road in the future.
