Background: The relationship between mankind and chemical industry is very close. From the material life such as clothing, food, shelter and transportation to the spiritual life such as culture and art, entertainment and so on, people's daily life is inseparable from chemical products. Some chemical products play an epoch-making role in the history of human development. Their production and application even represent a certain historical stage of human civilization. Some countries along the "Belt and Road" economic belt enjoy rich oil and gas resources while their petrochemical processing capacity is relatively weak. The approach to the charming chemical engineering is to enable trainees to understand the importance of chemical industry; its main content and its development direction and trends, so as to stimulate their enthusiasm of learning chemical engineering, cultivate more chemical industry personnel and promote the development of chemical industry.
