燃烧:人类文明之火花

从基础科学角度看,燃烧是燃料与氧气的快速化学反应以热和光的形式释放能量的过程。这一化学过程对于人类存在及社会文明发展具有重要作用。人类文明发展至今,燃烧贡献全世界能源需求的85%以上并还在持续增长。从基础科学层面深入认识燃烧过程基本物理和化学机理对于发展高效清洁燃烧技术,以用于陆海空动力装置具有重要意义。 本报告旨在从科学层面给出燃烧和火焰的最基本概念。报告内容包括: (1) 日常生活中的燃烧现象;(2) 火与人类文明;(3) 燃烧与火焰定义; (4) 燃烧研究历史。

At its most basic level, fire is simply the rapid combination of oxygen with fuel, releasing energy in the form of heat and light. Yet from ancient times onward, this seemingly unremarkable chemical process has had a major influence on the destiny of humanity.In the current status of human civilization as nowadays, combustion contributes more than 85% of all the energy supply throughout the world, and the energy usage increase globally per year. Understanding in combustion from a fundamental science point of view is important to guide engineers or scientists for more efficient and clean combustion techniques R&D, and ultimately for more efficient and cleaner heat engines including on-road, marine, aero- and rocket engines. This lecture aims at providing the very basic concepts of flame and combustion. The contents include, (a) Flame and combustion phenomenon in daily life; (b) Fire and human civilization; (c) Definition of combustion and flame; (d) History of combustion research.

课程首先介绍透平机械动力系统的主要组成和能量转换基本原理,接着介绍能源和动力系统中透平机械的位置和主要功能,讲授透平机械运行过程中的特点和未来的发展方向。课程的主要目的是让学员掌握透平机械的功-能转换过程及结构特点,理解透平机械在电力、能源工程、经济、国防、工业应用中的重要作用。

At first, the main components of power system in turbomachinery are described, and the fundamental basis of energy transformation in turbomachinery is introduced. Then, the locations and functions of typical turbo machines in the energy and power system are introduced. Finally, the features and developments of modern turbomachinery in future are discussed. The main objective of this presentation is to let the students know the energy transformation in turbo machines and the features of typical turbomachinery, and also, to let the students understand the importance of turbo machines in power station, energy engineering, economic, national defense and industrial applications.

本讲座主要介绍中国和世界范围的能源和环境问题概况。包括了能源类型及各类型能源在中国及世界所占的比例,能源对人类文明发展的贡献,以及随着社会的发展,对能源的需求越来越大,从而引出能源危机问题以及在能源的开采、加工、利用过程中产生了严重的环境问题。进一步从能源利用角度指出解决能源危机和环境问题的一些途径和对策。此外对中国和世界目前存在的各种环境问题进行介绍,包括臭氧层空洞、土地沙漠化以及污染退化、森林资源锐减、水资源污染和短缺、生物多样性减少等,以及应对这些环境问题的对策建议。最后介绍了能源环境领域的最新科研发展,着重介绍能在处理污染的同时收获能源的新技术微生物电化学技术。

The seminar will be titled as Basic Introduction of Energy and Environment. The energy and environmental status in China and in the world will be introduced briefly. Firstly, the seminar will focus on the energy forms and their contribution to human beings' civilization. With the development of society and explosion of population, the energy demand increased sharply and caused energy crisis and serious environmental problems. Strategies to solve the energy crisis and environmental problems were discussed from the view point of energy utilization.Additionally, several serious environmental issues in China and in the world were introduced. These included ozone layer depletion, soils erosion and desertification, forest resources reduction, water pollution and shortage, air pollution, biodiversity damage etc. The strategies to these environmental issues were also briefly discussed.Finally the latest science and technology development in energy environment was introduced. We mainly focused on the microbial electrochemical technology, which can convert waste to energy.

“一带一路”是“丝绸之路经济带”和“21世纪海上丝绸之路”的简称。这两条丝绸之路古而有之,一条沿路向西,从西汉张骞出使西域,就有了一条以古长安(今西安)和洛阳为东起点,经甘肃、新疆,到中亚、西亚,并联结地中海各国的陆上通道。一条向海,秦汉时期开通,到明代郑和下西洋已有2000多年的历史,这两条丝绸之路一直是古代连接东西方的陆上、海上交通贸易要道、也是中外文化交流的象征。从历史的角度看一带一路沿线国家的文明交往与互动对相关国家经济发展、科技进步、文化繁荣等方面所产生的巨大影响。

"The Belt and Road" is short for "Silk Road Economic Belt" and "Maritime Silk Road in twenty-first Century”. The two silk roads had a rather long history: one road originated in Western Han Dynasty owing to Zhang Qian to the west, from ancient Changan (now Xi'an) and Luoyang as the starting point, passing Gansu, Xinjiang, to Central Asia, West Asia, and connecting the Mediterranean countries overland; the other passage was by sea, 2000 years of history from the Qin and Han Dynasty to Zheng He's voyages in the Ming Dynasty. The two ancient Silk Roads not only have been the trade routes between the East and the West, but also were the symbol of culture exchange between China and foreign countries. At the historical point of view, the civilization exchanges and interaction among the countries along The Road has played an important role in the development of economy, the progress of science and technology and prosperity of culture.

 

 

新型压缩空气储能原理及关键设备

Principle and Key Equipments of New Compressed-Air Energy Storage (CAES)

电力系统需要一直保持在一个平衡状态,即电力生产和消耗需要保持平衡。当发电系统产生的电能不能很好被控制或者和不符合实际用电需求,那么在这种情况下就需要电力储存技术。因此,随着可再生能源和分布式能源系统的生产的具有间断性特征的电能在电网中的比例日渐增大,对电能储存的需求也随之也在不断增加。然而根据不同类型的发电系统及不同的用户需求,那么就需要不同类型的储能技术。

本讲座总结了电能储存技术在电网中的作用以及最常用的大规模电能储存技术。这里重点介绍的是抽水蓄能系统(PHS)和压缩空气储能系统(CAES)。首先是讲解抽水蓄能系统(PHS)和压缩空气储能系统(CAES)的基本原理和其运行原理。然后简要对两个系统的技术和经济性能进行简要的对比。最后介绍一个新型的储能系统,该系统不仅结合了PHES和CAES系统各自的优点,又能克服PHES和CAES系统的存在的不足之处。该新型抽水蓄能与压缩空气联合(PHCA)系统是当前用于大规模储存间歇性可再生能源最有潜力的解决方案之一。

The electricity system needs to be constantly in balance, i.e. electricity production and electricity demand need to be matched every second of the day. In cases where electricity generation cannot be controlled and does not match electricity demand, the electricity needs to be stored. Therefore, the need for energy storage is increasing as the proportion of intermittent energy production from renewable and decentralized energy systems increases. Different types of storage technology are needed depending on demand and type of electricity generation.

This lecture summarizes the information about the roles of electrical energy storage technologies in electricity use and the most common technologies for large-scale electrical energy storage. The focus here is pumped hydro storage (PHS) system and compressed air storage (CAES) system. The fundamental and operation principle of PHS and CAES will be in detail introduced. The technical and economic comparison between two systems will also be demonstrated briefly. In the last part a combined PHES and CAES system will introduced which not only integrates the advantages but also overcomes the disadvantages of both the PHES and the CAES systems. The new pumped hydro combined with compressed air (PHCA) system is an attractive solution to the large-scale storage of intermittent renewable energy.

The course contents involve three parts. The supply and demand of the world energy will be introduced first, and also the China energy supply and demand. Then the current status and history of China electricity generation will be briefly introduced. Finally, the energy conversion method of different renewable energy will be introduced.
